Natalie has been accompanying for concerts and graded instrumental exams for nine years. In Christchurch she has accompanied Resolutions (senior choir at Rangi Ruru Girls’ School), the NCEA performance exams at Burnside High School, St. Bedes and others, and for various concerts and instrumental examinations.
At University she studied accompaniment and played in various chamber groups. In her Honours year Natalie researched extensively the skills, knowledge and technique required to accompany Grade 1-8 violin exams. Natalie believes a collaborative pianist’s role is to listen, support, and co-create a moving and effective musical experience with another musician.
